I had the opportunity to study Dutch with Ieke this past year and enjoyed the experience thoroughly. Ieke’s warm and friendly personality created trust between us, which made it easier to take risks as a student and make mistakes as I worked to understand and speak Dutch.

Ik heb een cursus van ongeveer 15 lessen gevolgd met “Alles is Taal”. Binnen 2 maanden was ik klaar voor mijn NT-2 examen en ik was geslaagd!

“Alles is Taal” is goed gepositioneerd ten opzicht van mijn huis. Het neemt alleen maar 5 minuten voor me daar naar toe te rijden. Ieke heeft een speciale kamer voor lessen bij haar thuis. Die is ruim, light, warm, en goed opgericht voor de lessen, veel boeken dus. Ieke zorgt ook voor de parkeer pas: het parkeren was gratis voor mij – heel handig! En ik kreeg altijd wat thee of glaasje water bij de les – gezellig!
Tijdens de eerste les had Ieke (de lerares) mijn niveau geëvalueerd, en ik begon taken te krijgen waar ik de gaten had. Lessen waren echt effectief omdat de meeste werk thuis was gedaan, en allen maar was gecontroleerd tijdens de les. Dit is de style van “Alles is Taal” en ik was blij met die benadering.
Ieke was altijd flexibele met lessen drukte; als ik 3 keer per week les wilde hebben mocht dat! In principe geeft Ieke je leidende rol voor je cursus en doet alles dat je je doel kan bereiken.
Tot slot, heeft Ieke altijd een goed idee waar je ben op je taal ontwikkeling traject en ze geeft je een duidelijk feedback. Voor mij was het echt belangrijke steun.

How long does it take to become fluent in Dutch?

This depends on your starting level, how much time you can invest, and how intensive the lessons are. The most important thing is that we help you confidently speak your first sentences, so you can practise in daily life without shame.

How does the intake meeting work?

The intake meeting is free and without obligation. During the conversation, we discuss your goals and expectations. I’ll give you a clear plan of action and practical tips you can start using right away.

What does it cost?

The cost depends on the package you choose. I offer different packages that vary in intensity and duration. During the intake meeting, we’ll discuss which package suits you best.

Are the lessons one-on-one or in groups?

I offer one-on-one lessons, so the lessons can be fully tailored to your goals and pace. However, there are also possibilities for group sessions.

Are the packages flexible?

Yes, the packages are flexible. I understand that everyone learns differently, so we adjust the lessons to your pace and learning needs. During the intake meeting, we’ll look together at what suits you best and how we can set up the lessons for optimal learning.

Can I continue with lessons after a package?

Absolutely! Many of our students choose to continue after their first package. We’ll discuss your progress and see together whether a follow-up trajectory, such as a new package or a specific focus, is needed to reach your goals.

Do you offer online lessons?

Yes, I offer online lessons via video platforms such as Zoom. This gives you the flexibility to learn from home or the office, no matter where you are.

Do you offer lessons in the evening or on weekends?

Yes, I offer lessons in the evenings and sometimes on weekends, so you can learn flexibly alongside work or other obligations.

Do I need to buy a book?

In some cases, I recommend a book to support the lessons, but we’ll discuss this during the intake meeting. We keep it as practical as possible.

Will I have a lot of homework?

That depends on your learning style and goals. I offer homework to help you progress faster, but it’s up to you how much time you want to spend on it.

How much time will it take per week?

Most students take one or two lessons per week, but I also offer more flexible options. I do recommend to also make time to practise, for example with short homework assignments or by applying what you’ve learned in your daily life.

What is your hourly rate?

The hourly rate depends on the package you choose and whether you opt for online or in-person lessons. During the intake meeting, we’ll discuss the best option for your situation.
